Evaluation of Undergraduate STEM Education

Higher education typically involves work towards a degree-level or foundation degree qualification.¬†Undergraduate STEM education programs include course work, research based programs and service learning programs. Research based programs are designed to increase undergraduate students’ knowledge about cutting edge research techniques and research ethics. Service learning programs, especially the ones specific to STEM courses are designed to provide students with opportunities to apply their STEM content expertise to improve communities. ILC has provided in-depth analysis of the impact of these programs on undergraduate students’ non-cognitive variables like science motivation, STEM self-efficacy, and academic self-regulation to name just a few of 100s of non-cognitive variables that influence STEM learning and cognition.
